Terms of service

These terms apply to website design, build and hosting services provided by Black Widow Websites ("we", "us") to you, the client.

1. What we provide

We design and build a bespoke website or landing page for you, then host and maintain it. The specifics of each project are agreed in writing before we start.

2. Fees

• Build: £750 one-off for a standard website or landing page (other scopes quoted separately).
• Hosting & maintenance: £20 per month, covering hosting, security, uptime and ongoing changes (see section 4).
• Optional domain setup: £50 one-off if you'd like us to source and configure a custom web address. Domain renewal fees charged by the registrar are separate.

All prices exclude VAT where applicable. To start, a £100 non-refundable deposit secures your slot. The balance of the build fee is due on launch, once you're fully satisfied with the finished site. The monthly hosting fee is payable in advance by Direct Debit or card.

3. Your responsibilities

You provide the content we need (text, images, logos and any access) in good time, and confirm you have the right to use it. Delays in providing content may delay your launch.

4. Changes and what's included

Your monthly fee includes reasonable ongoing changes — text and image updates, new sections and small tweaks — handled by us on request. A full redesign, a major new feature or substantial new pages fall outside this and will be quoted separately and agreed before any work begins.

5. Hosting, cancellation and ownership

There's no fixed contract — you can cancel hosting at any time with 30 days' notice. The finished website is yours once the build fee is paid in full. While you're on the monthly plan we host and maintain it; if you cancel, we'll help you export or move your site where reasonable.

6. Liability

We take care to deliver quality work, but we don't guarantee specific business results (such as sales or rankings). To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you've paid us. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't be excluded by law.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
